The suspense is over, New Team India coach revealed!
Finally the long wait is over, as BCCI has revealed the name of head coach, Anil Kumble has been named as the Head Coach of Team India, after a long process and a massive list of 57 applicants. BCCI in their press conference revealed that former Indian Cricket team skipper and one of the greatest leg spinners popularly known as “Jumbo” will be heading the coaching panel. While the interview that took place on 21st of June, the BCCI shortlisted 7 players including former team director Ravi Shastri, Anil Kumble and big Tom Moody.
Anil Kumble’s first assignment will be India tour of West Indies, starting in July, he will be coordinating with young but very aggressive Virat Kohli, who will be leading the team.

While, many appeared in person, former Indian Cricket Team director, Ravi Shastri chose to join the interview over skype. Ever since the interview round was over, the major contender for the the role of Head coach were Ravi Shastri and Anil Kumble.
While Anil Kumble was not the experienced one, as he had not coached any major team, but he has served as bowling coach with Mumbai Indians.
Anil Kumble has led Indian Cricket Team to many test victories which includes the famous win at Perth during India’s tour of Australia, which later led to the throwing of Australia from No.1 Test position. He is one of two bowlers to have taken all 10 wickets in a Test innings.
