Top 5 Free Screen Recording Softwares For Windows

Screen recording can be useful when you need to record a how-to video to help someone learn how to use a program, record a game walkthrough, or prepare for a presentationRecord here means you can create a video of whatever you are doing on your desktop, save the recording as a video file and send it to a friend or upload it on YouTube.
We’ve featured screen capturing tools before, and you know a few ways to take screenshots on your computer. For something more than just a still image, here are 8 free screen recording programs that will help you record every action you make on your Windows desktop.
Free programs at times come with drawbacks or limitations, and watermarks are common in many free screen recording softwares. However, the following list of programs has been tested to not have any watermarks and can export to a file format recognizable to most video editing softwares.
1. Ezvid
Ezvid is a screen recorder program that comes with an in-built video editor where you can split your recordings and add text in between two clips, creating aslideshow effect. There is no way to export the video you recorded. However, you can upload the video to YouTube through the program itself.

For gamers, there’s an option to enable ‘Gaming mode’ where it records the windowed mode of your game. The program comes with a few music clips. However if you decide to have no music, it will be replaced with a ‘Silent machine’ which sounds like a small fan from a computer. You can add in other pictures and video clips, as well as add in your voice after you’re done editing your clip.
2. BlueBerry FlashBack Express Recorder
BB (short for BlueBerry) FlashBack Express Recorder lets you use your webcam to record yourself while recording the activities that are happening on your desktop. After you have stopped recording, it creates an FBR file which can be edited with its packaged video editor.

If you did not enable your webcam, you can skip the video editor program and export it to the AVI file format right away. Otherwise, you can use the software to position and resize your webcam box before exporting it. Although it requires you to register (for a free account) after 30 days of usage, it still provides you with all of its functions before you register.
3. Screenr
Screenr is an interesting way to share a screencast (recording of your screen) online without installing a program on your computer; it requires Java to work. You select an area on your screen which you want to record (max: 5 minutes). All recordings are saved into your account.

After recording you’ll be given a link which you can share. You can also export your video to MP4 or upload it on YouTube.
Screenr also provides a bookmarklet so you can record without going to the website. Register with your Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn, Yahoo or Windows Live account in order to use Screenr for free.
4. Rylstim Screen Recorder
Rylstim just records your screen after you hit the ‘Start Record’ button. This will be useful for people who do not want to configure anything and just want a basic recorder. This program does not record sound from input devices like a microphone.

The only options available determine if you want to show your left or right mouse button clicks in the video. If you enable the mouse click options, a red ripple will appear at your cursor when you left click and a green ripple appears for right clicks. This mouse click ripple effect will only be visible when you view your recording.
5. CamStudio
CamStudio comes equipped with many options to tweak the way it records. There are options to enable or disable your mouse cursor, record sounds from programs or a microphone (or have no sound at all) and the option to enable custom screen annotations.

Here’s more!

Webinaria
Webinaria is another easy-to-use screen recording software with basic options for your recording needs. It can record your entire screen, a program window or a custom selection. You can choose from 3 frame rate options; 5, 10 and 15 FPS (frames per second).

Videos are produced in AVI file format. If you were using Google Chrome before running Webinaria, Google Chrome will be detected as the program window for recording.
DVDVideoSoft Free Screen Video Recorder
This program has a simple user interface carrying 9 icons. The first 4 is for screen capturing, the next 4 handles screen recording and the last icon opens the options of the program. It also exports its video to an AVI file format. What’s good about this program is its automatic file naming options.

It gives you options to include the specific date and time in the filename of your recorded video. Users who need to keep track of many screen recordings back to back will find this automatic file naming option useful.
Krut Computer Recorder
Krut does not require installation but uses Java to run. After downloading, you’ll have a folder where you have to run the ‘KRUT.jar’ file to get started. The capture area and recording frames per second can be set by the user.

There is an option called ‘Follow Mouse’ where it captures the area around your mouse, wherever it moves to. When using the ‘Follow Mouse’ feature, you can enable preview mode to see the captured area as you record. This program outputs to three types of files: the WAV file only has the audio recorded, while of the two MOV files; one has no audio and the other has both audio and video of the recording.

You can also choose to record a particular area on your screen or a program window so that the rest of your desktop isn’t showing on the recording. It can record at different frame rate speeds; for example 1 FPS (frames per second)to create a time lapse video effect, or 30 FPS for a smooth video.

Why logging out of Facebook before watching porn is good

Why You Should Always Log Out Of Facebook When Watching Porn

WHY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS LOG OUT OF FACEBOOK WHILE WATCHING, VISITING NSFW WEBSITES

Did you know that Facebook actively tracks you if you visit porn websites? If you’re logged on Facebook and go on any adult entertainment website or shady porn website, chances are that the porn website has a Facebook plug-in button. This Facebook plug-in will actively track you down and know that your have been surfing porn.
Facebook tracks your surfing habits because the social networking giant collects data about the websites you’re visiting so they can target the ads you see – including your taste in porn.
Facebook ‘Share’ and ‘Like’ buttons actively track visitors visiting any website despite the fact that the social media network had promised these wouldn’t be used to track its users seven years back.
Facebook won’t use porn surfing habits to target you with sexual ads but the worrying thing is that Facebook will know exactly what you have been watching.
The only option left for you, if you are an avid porn fan, is to log out of Facebook and use VPN and/or Tor to surf such adult entertainments sites without the fear of tracking.

Hey Alo...!!! Or Google??

Get Ready for a whole new Artificial Intelligence-based Messaging experience.

At I/O event Wednesday, Google unveiled its new messaging app named Allo: A smart messaging app powered with machine learning programming and the company’s newly announced AI bot Google Assistant.
You just have to sign up with your phone number and link your Google account to Allo, and you are all set to go.

AI Bot and Smart Replies:

With Allo, besides chatting with your friends and family using animated graphics and enlarging or shrinking text, you can also call Google within the app to buy things, plan events, and even think of what to reply, i.e. smart replies.

I found Smart Reply feature a bit fascinating, as it offers you some assumptions that you can reply when someone says something, shares a picture or something else. This feature learns to get more smart and productive over time as you use it.
Smart replies contain stickers and emoticons, as well. It recognizes pictures you or your friend sent by tapping into Google’s powerful image recognition search engine and learns your replies with the help of text.

As I said, Allo uses Google search engine that is powered by Google’s own Knowledge Graph, so you can launch it by typing @google in the chat window while chatting with your friends.

You can also make this AI bot to reserve restaurants and hotels, find sports scores, and everything that Google Search itself can do.

End-to-End Encryption:

Allo also offers end-to-end encryption, but it is not enabled by default. You have to enable "incognito" mode that turns on an end-to-end encryption system called Signal, designed by the privacy-focused non-profit organization Open Whisper Systems.
So you can opt for incognito mode in Allo, which is similar to what you'll already find in Google's Chrome browser if you want your conversations to be private and secure.

Besides end-to-end encryption, Allo’s incognito mode also features private notifications and expiring chats.

However, there is one thing you need to keep in your mind that once you have deleted an incognito conversation on Allo, there is no way to retrieve it; it is gone forever.

Duo: End-to-End Encrypted Video Calling App

Besides Allo, Google also announced its new video calling app called Duo that will use end-to-end encryption, as well.

"One of our favorite features of Duo is Knock Knock, which shows you a live video preview of the caller before you pick up."

Google To Kill Password By 2017

Yes...!!!
The importance of increasing online security around personal information has risen due to the increase in cyber attacks and data breaches over recent years.

I find it hilarious people are still choosing terrible passwords to protect their online accounts.

The massive LinkedIn hack is the latest in the example that proves people are absolutely awful at picking passwords. The data breach leaked 167 Million usernames and passwords online, out of which "123456" was used by more than 750,000 accounts, followed by "LinkedIn" (172,523 accounts), and "password" (144,458 accounts).
In a typical authentication mechanism, two-factor verification is the second layer of security that is designed to ensure that you are the only person who can access your account, even if someone knows your password.

Now Instead of just relying on uniquely generated PINs, Google intends to use your biometrics data – like your typing patterns, your current location, and more – to strengthen the second layer of authentication with a better, automatic and trustworthy approach.

Project Abacus: Password-free Logins

Google Trust API plans to replace your Passwords with Trust Score
Introduced at the Google I/O developer conference, the new feature is called the Trust API, which will be available to Android developers by year-end if the initial tests with "several very large financial institutions" next month goes well.

Trust API was first developed under the codename Project Abacus, which was introduced last year at Google I/O 2015 when the company announced that it was working on a new password-less authentication method for Android devices.

Project Abacus is a system that opts for biometrics over two-factor authentication.
A while ago, the company implemented a similar idea, called "Smart Lock," on devices running Android 5.0 and higher.

Smart Locks automatically locks or unlocks your device when you are in a trusted location, or when your device recognizes your facial characteristics or have a secure Bluetooth device connected.

This Trust API is an upgraded and advanced version of Smart Lock. Trust API works by using the phone's sensors to collect data about you such as your voice, typing patterns, the particular times and locations you might use an app, and even facial recognition to derive a "Trust Score".

This Trust Score is then used to authenticate you without any need to enter a password or PIN, the head of Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) unit Daniel Kaufman said Friday at its Google I/O developer conference.

In case your Trust Score is not high enough, apps could revert to asking users for their passwords.

However, the company also said previously that different apps could require different Trust Scores. For example, your bank could require a higher score than a gaming app.

This Trust Score is the new "Trust Score API" or "Trust API" that the company hopes to put in developers' hands by the end of the year.
