Priyanka Chopra is on cloud nine as she has been roped in for a role in Baywatch. She will play a villain in the Hollywood film. Since the news of her big Hollywood debut broke, Bollywood's Desi Girl has been flooded with congratulatory messages from B-Town celebs. Priyanka will share screen space with stars such as Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach and Alexandra Daddario in the film.
Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her big Hollywood debut in Dwayne The Rock Johnson-starrer Baywatch.
While speculations had been doing the rounds of social media for some time now, Priyanka shared the big news on Twitter on Tuesday night as she wrote, "And it's time to tell u all officially!! #Baywatch it is @therock ! Being Bad is what I doâ€¦(sic)"
Even her Baywatch co-star and a producer of the film, Dwayne Johnson introduced Priyanka to fans as ceremoniously as he did the other cast members. The Rock shared a video on Instagram with the caption, "She's one of the biggest stars in the world. Insanely talented, relentlessly smokin' and extremely dangerous - perfect for #BAYWATCH. Welcome @PriyankaChopra to our bad ass and incredibly dysfunctional family. Cue RATED R slo-mo running on the beach. We start shooting next week. World.. #WelcomeToBaywatch (sic)"
The moment the Bollywood beauty made the official announcement on Twitter, her B-Town fans and friends flooded her timeline with congratulatory messages. Among the first ones to wish Chopra was actor Sophie Choudry. She wrote, "Woohoo!!! U killing it on a global scale babe! So incredibly happy for u!! And u are making us all so proud (sic)", to which, Priyanka responded:
Priynaka Chopra will be seen in a negative role in the film. She plays Victoria Leeds, said a report in people.com.
The film is inspired from the 90s NBC hit series Baywatch starring Pamela Anderson as CJ Parker, who raised the temperature in her sizzling red bikini. Priyanka Chopra is all set get into the swimsuit once again, after her 2009 film Dostana.
The Bollywood beauty will be sharing screen space with stars such as Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach and Alexandra Daddario.
The film is slated to hit the theatres in 2017.
