India, Singapore to enter into strategic partnership to deepen defence, economic, cultural ties


Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hisSingapore counterpart Lee Hsein Loongwill sign the India-Singapore strategic partnership to elevate bilateral relations on Monday.
The strategic partnership will broaden and deepen ties in various sectors including defense relations, economic and cultural cooperation, skill development and capacity building.
Prime Minister Modi will also address theIndia-Singapore Economic Conventionand interact with Chief Executive Officers of several companies. Both Prime Ministers will also release a joint stamp to mark the 50 years of diplomatic relation of Indiaand Singapore.
Prime Minister Modi will also visit the Institute of Technical Education which offers course in vocational study in Singapore.
Before wrapping up his visit, he will address Indian Diaspora at Singapore Expo in which over 20 thousand people have registered themselves.
The Prime Minister will return to New Delhi ahead of the winter session of the Parliament that begins on November 26.
